ThredUp Review: Spring

Let's Spend Some Money, Reviews

If you haven’t heard of ThredUp yet, it’s a great website where you can buy gently used women’s and children’s clothing and accessories at bargain prices. The website sorts items by designer and even offers some items still with tags with new items every day. As warmer weather approaches in Georgia, I decided to order a few “new” individual items from ThredUp.

I’ll admit there is still a part of me that is always a bit skeptical of secondhand clothing until I can actually see it in person but I’ve had more hits than misses with ThredUp and they offer returns for store credit and the price is right. Plus, it’s a great way to reuse clothing and incorporate a little more earth-friendly fashion in my closet.

Old Navy Heart & Soul Sweatshirt

Review: Spring in Georgia is warm by day and cool by morning and night so this sweet sweatshirt is the perfect layering piece for weekends. For under $16 it was worth a try.

Verdict: Keep all day long!

Express Rose Floral Tank

Review: This Express rose floral tank was perfect for a weekend getaway to the Kentucky Bourbon trail for my husband’s birthday weekend. I layered it under my faux black leather jacket and a pair of black distressed jeans.

Verdict: Keep it!

Gap Knit Terry Moto Jacket

Review: I loved the texture of this knit moto jacket and imagined layering it for the weekend. I love the neutral colors and edge the zipper adds to the moto style. Unfortunately the fit was too short through the body.

Verdict: Return for fit.

J Crew Factory Yellow Shorts

Review: These lemon yellow J Crew Factory shorts are the perfect chiffon yellow hue for spring and summer. I love it layered with the Old Navy Heart and Soul sweatshirt from this purchase but also picture pairing it with my white lace tee and my various striped tees and tie front tops for spring and summer.

Verdict: Keep all day long!

J Crew Factory Baby Blue Shorts

Review: I love the soft blue hue of these J Crew Factory shorts. They’re perfect paired with a breezy white blouse or my white lace tee for spring and summer. I can’t wait to wear them all season long.

Verdict: Keep!

Overall Verdict: I honestly can’t say enough good things about ThredUp. There are hundreds of designer brands for sale, many with tags and even more that look new.  Click through the link if you want to give ThredUp a try for yourself. We’d love to hear what you think!
