#OOTD: Flowers and Peplum with a Side of Sparkle

Outfit of the Day

A peplum top has been on my fashion want list for years! Maybe it’s the girly edge or the fact that I love the look on other women. The problem is, I have a long torso… and long legs… and lanky everything which means that most peplum falls short of expectations (pun intended!). So when Stitch Fix sent me this floral peplum mixed media top I thought for sure I’d end up disappointed again!

Thankfully I was wrong! I love that the light sweater is warm enough to wear in the cooler weather but it also adds a punch of spring with the black and white floral peplum ruffle. With broader shoulders and a 34C/D chest, crew neck tops are often difficult for me to pull off without looking top heavy. A statement necklace like this sparkly Gala Statement necklace is the perfect answer! The V angled bottom of the necklace draws the line of the shirt down, making this floral peplum the answer to all of my peplum dreams! Check out the links below for the rest of my #OOTD selection.
