Box Subscriptions are like a dream come true for busy mamas! A personal stylist picks out clothes and they magically ship to you for you to try on in the comfort of your own home. What more could a mama ask for?!!
There are countless subscription services out there – Stitch Fix, Le Tote, Evereve Trendsend, and Trunk Club with a range of styles and price points to meet almost any budget or style. Trunk Club is managed by Nordstrom and runs on the higher end of the price range typically although they’ve added more styles under $100 since being acquired by Nordstrom which is music to my ears.
This time, I requested a New Year’s Eve Trunk along with some winter essentials to start 2018 off on the right foot! Here’s a list of what I got in this trunk…
I absolutely adored this dress from the moment I took it out of the box and the fit was perfect! Alas, I had two other NYE dress options that were equally sparkly and already hanging in my closet so back this one went. Although I’m still having some regrets over sending this one packing. I’m between a size 2 and 4 and wearing a size 2 in this.
The color in this one scared me with my pale winter skin and blonde hair. I love the one shoulder and simple cut of it which makes it understatedly sexy. However, decision made easy to send this one back when I couldn’t zip it up top on the side. This one is definitely not built for anyone over a B cup on top. Back it goes. This is a size 2 and I definitely could have gone up a size.
This shade of green is one of my favorites with my blue eyes and pale skin. I loved the lace cut out on the sleeve. Overall however, this dress just felt too big on me. It’s a shift cut but even then, it felt baggy all over. Wearing in a size small.

I’ve been on a search for a versatile, plain black top to pair with patterned pants and skirts for work and on the weekends and this one fit the bill in look, price and fit! I loved the Bauble Bar earrings but they were really heavy and with piercings that need a bit of repair, back they go. The Blank NYC jeans are a favorite of mine but these were a size smaller than my other pair and a bit too tight. My budget says “thank you.” I’m between a 2/4 in pants, dresses and skirts and typically a small in tops. I’m wearing a small top and size 26 jeans here, although a 27 would have been better.
This sweater is super soft and really versatile to wear on weekends, date nights or to the office. As someone who struggles with finding sleeves that are long enough for my arms I was pleased to see this one runs a bit long. I loved the look and feel of the sweater and toyed with keeping it but it felt a bit too short in the body length so I decided to send it back. Same Blank NYC jeans as above and still needed to suck in or size up to a 27!
