As much as I love my Stitch Fix, sometimes I feel like the words “mom” and “40” pigeon hole me into a certain “list” of clothing choices somewhere in their database. So, when I saw a similar box service geared specifically toward moms I was curious! Evereve Trendsend is the box service from the parent company Evereve.
It works a lot like Stitch Fix in that you complete a style profile and schedule your box to ship. Unlike Stitch Fix, however, there is no styling fee and you can schedule as many or as few as you want. While Stitch Fix sends you 5 items and offers a discount if you purchase all 5, Trendsend sends you 6-10 items to create 3 full outfits and does not offer a discount for purchasing all or multiple items. Trendsend also sends along a nice personalized letter describing each item in detail and fills their boxes with inspiring, mom positive … those custom, feel good touches are definite wins in my book!
Both services have pros and cons but let’s face it, at the end of the day I LOVE that I can have a box of clothes shipped to my house, pour a glass of wine and try them on, keep what I like and send back what doesn’t work. That’s an all-around win in my book!
So enough talk, let’s see what I got! Without further ado, here is my review of my Spring Trendsend Box by Evereve….
Stylist’s note: I wanted to send you a few staple pieces that go with just about everything. This KUT denim jacket will layer beautifully over most tops. The White Destructed Boyfriend Jean from KUT are so great for spring. The Westwood Detached Collar Tee was such a great price and would look great with the white jeans and a slight front tuck to keep it shapely.
- Peyton Jensen Westwood Detached Collar Tee (sold out online, similar style here) – $29.99. Evereve.com
- KUT from the Kloth White Destructed Catherine Boyfriend Jean – $89.00, Evereve.com
- KUT from the Kloth Denim Jacket – $89.00, Evereve.com
Status: I absolutely LOVED everything about this outfit so much so that I actually own very similar pieces of all three so back it went. I like the jeans better than the ones I own so those might still make it into my closet in the future!
Stylist’s note: I love this Galloon Lace Racerback, it looks great with two tops. It is great under the Love My Tribe pullover for a fun weekend look with the kiddos. It’s also great under the Free People Beaux Slip. Pair this top with leggings, white jeans or skinny jeans.
- Free People Galloon Lace Racerback – $20.00, Evereve.com
- Chaser Love My Tribe Pullover – $78.00, Evereve.com
- Free People Beaux Slip Top – $49.99, Evereve.com
Status: A win on the Love My Tribe top and Free People bralette! I have been on a search for a lace bralette that keeps the girls in check and provides enough support for someone who is a 34C/D. And I’m excited to try out the whole cut out back trend of the pullover. The Free people sleeveless top was a no go… it was just big all over and didn’t fee flattering.
Stylist’s note: I threw in a few dresses that I think will complement your figure. The Travels Off the Shoulder Dress will highlight your legs. The Mya Maxi Dress will complement your waistline and shoulders.
- Flying Tomato Travels Off The Shoulder Dress (sold out online, similar style here) – $68.00, Evereve.com
- Allison Joy Mya Maxi Dress – $88.00, Evereve.com
Status: Truth be told, I was tempted by both of these dresses but ultimately, I decided I didn’t love the sleeves on the Off the Shoulder one but I would love to try this Off the Shoulder trend again next time. The maxi dress was super comfortable on and I loved that the length was long enough (often a problem at 5’8″) but ultimately it felt a little big and for $88.00 I thought I’d send it back.
