I have a confession… I’ve been two-timing Stitch Fix. I love, love, love the service that Stitch Fix provides but sometimes I feel like the words “mom” and “40” pigeon hole me into a certain “list” of clothing choices somewhere in their database. So, when I saw a similar box service geared specifically toward moms I was curious!
Evereve Trendsend is the box service from the parent company Evereve. If you haven’t heard of them, they are fabulous! The company was started by a mom named Megan about 10 years ago who was tired and busy and needed help. Her goal was to create a store that takes care of moms and makes shopping easy because they are busy juggling a million different things already! She took a leap and started her own clothing store and we’re so glad she did!
Evereve offers in store shopping as well as a box subscription called Trendsend for moms who prefer to shop online (this one!) and for those who don’t have an Evereve store nearby (also this one!).
It works a lot like Stitch Fix in that you complete a style profile and schedule your box to ship. Unlike Stitch Fix, however, there is no styling fee and you can schedule as many or as few as you want. While Stitch Fix sends you 5 items and offers a discount if you purchase all 5, Trendsend sends you 6-10 items to create 3 full outfits and does not offer a discount for purchasing all or multiple items.
Unlike Stitch Fix, Trendsend has a real life person who hand picks your items from actual stores and sends along a nice personalized letter describing each item in detail. They also fill their boxes with empowering messages … those custom, feel good touches are definite wins in my book!
Both services have pros and cons but let’s face it, at the end of the day I LOVE that I can have a box of clothes shipped to my house, pour a glass of wine and try them on, keep what I like and send back what doesn’t work. That’s an all-around win in my book!
So enough talk, let’s see what I got! Without further ado, here is my review of my very first Trendsend Box by Evereve….
Stylist’s note: This chic outfit will look amazing on you! All of these pieces can be dressed up or down very easily, you can wear the leather skirt with a graphic tee and converse or dress it up with a pair of over the knee boots! This John and Jenn sweater can be layered with a simple long sleeve and your favorite pair of blue jeans! This necklace has been my personal favorite because it goes with EVERYTHING but it’s also not going to break your budget!
- John and Jenn Textured Turtleneck Sweater – $74.99, Evereve.com
- Peyton Jensen Vegan Leather Skirt – $59.99, Evereve.com
- Harriet Isles Crystal Statement Necklace – $24.99, Evereve.com
Status: I absolutely LOVED everything about this outfit but being an adult sometimes means you have to make budget choices (sad face). So… I kept the vegan leather skirt and sent back the turtleneck sweater and crystal statement necklace since I have two similar items already.
Stylist’s note: This outfit would be cute for a sunny winter day out and about or for running errands on a Sunday! I know you’re a Kut from the Kloth fan so I had to send you these brand new Mia skinnies! They are so soft and comfortable, every girl needs a great pair of gray denim this season! This Free People top is one of our favorites because of the shape, it looks amazing with a vest and leggings! This scarf just adds a finishing touch to the look, you can finish it off with a pair of brown booties or the Sorel Lea Wedge!
- Free People Anna Tee – $39.99, Evereve.com
- Garnet Field Plaid Blanket Scarf – $24.99, Evereve.com
- Kut from the Kloth Mia Skinny – $98.00, Evereve.com
Status: Another win on this one! I kept the KFTK Mia skinnies and the Free People tee! Both have quickly become favorite “go to” pieces! I sent back the blanket scarf only because of that “hard choices” thing and I have a similar one already.
Stylist’s note:These are just fun must haves! This is adorable paired with the necklace in the box and a heel for a brunch date! This dress is so stunning on, it can be dressed down with our sanctuary bomber jacket and converse or dress it up with a heel and a statement necklace! This John and Jenn jacket is a comfortable “go to” but so stylish, you can wear it with your second outfit in this box on a colder day or pair it with a tee shirt!
- John and Jenn Sherpa Open Cardigan – $89.99, Evereve.com
- Allison Joy Harper Scrunch Dress – $49.99, Evereve.com
Status: This dress is absolutely stunning on and she was right… so versatile! A definite “go to” year round! You NEED this now! I kept the dress (no brainer!) but sent back the open cardigan. The shawl style is difficult one for me to pull off with my broader, athletic shoulders so back the cardi went! Phew… at least that one is a win for my budget!
