We all know how great Stitch Fix for Women is, but what about Stitch Fix for Men? My husband started getting Stitch Fix Men boxes a few years ago and loves the fact that he can try on clothes at home and doesn’t have to mess with going to the store.
We are finally getting out of the house and spending a week in a beach house rental, so I thought it was the perfect time to request His and Hers Stitch Fix to add a few vacation-ready pieces to our packing list. Check out what came in our summer beach His and Hers fixes this month!
These shorts are so comfortable and perfect for the transition from Covid-19 social isolation the last few months to being out and about again. Elastic waistbands are my friend! The subtle navy and white floral print is summery and feels just right for the beach and summer around town. This one is a definite keeper!
This blouse is so pretty and would be great paired with white denim for brunch or patio date night. Once back in the office, pair this pretty top with a black pencil skirt or work paints and nude patent pumps. Unfortunately this month has been filled with lots of unexpected expense including a root canal and two crowns, so back this one goes.
This keyhole halter neck tank top is really comfortable in knit and would be nice and cool for vacation. Pair it with colored shorts, denim cut-offs or white jeans and a favorite pair of nude colored sandals. I have a very similar pattern blouse already, so back this one goes.
This pullover, lightweight sweatshirt is a great choice for cool beach nights, layered over a t-shirt and shorts. The material is super soft and the longer length also lends itself to pair with workout leggings and a tank. With recent unexpected expenses and an upcoming vacation, back this one goes to try to save a bit of budget.
A pair of yellow shorts has been on my “buy list” for a couple of years, but for one reason or another, I’ve yet to find the perfect fit. Vigoss is a favorite brand of mine and one that always seems to fit just right. These yellow shorts are no exception! Despite being almost $50, I can think of at least a half-dozen ways to wear these right off the bat, so that makes them a keeper!
We asked for mostly beach vacation pieces with a few new work shirts thrown in. This one has a bit of stretch, making it easy to care for and comfortable. My hubby has a lot of plaid shirts, so he decided to send this one back. It’s well made and great for a business casual office though.
While my husband typically loves a henley, he despises short sleeve shirts with any sort of button downs. This one didn’t even make it out of the box before he vetoed it. The neckline does have a contrasting fabric which I thought was unique, but he thought it looked too feminine on top of breaking his button down short sleeve shirt rule. (Side note – somehow polo shirts and golf shirts still fit under this rule. hehe!)
These pants were the unexpected dark horse. Right out of the box, Joe said these and the short sleeve button down were definite no’s. He thought this color was too hard to match with his shirts. Surprisingly, he tried these on and loved the jean fit, and when we held them up to his shirts, they matched a surprising number of golf shirts and tees.
I thought this striped polo was perfect for beach night dinners at our rental house. To me the thin stripes and knit fabric made this a no brainer for vacation. However, Joe felt like it looked too young on. I thought it looked great on him, but if you’re doubting it in the fitting room (or in this case the bedroom mirror), then you probably won’t love it enough to wear it once it’s hanging in your closet.
Joe loved these out of the box and the material is a cross between a chino and a quick dry golf short. The color seemed easy to pair with existing beach tees and golf polos, so these seemed like a slam dunk. After Joe tried them on, they were a bit too tight in the booty. I will add the caveat that after years of playing baseball, a lot of things are too tight in the booty, so I wouldn’t let that deter you from trying these for your husband. If it wasn’t for that, these would have been a keeper.
