Now that I have your attention… let me explain. Part of my job involves managing relationships with our corporate charity partners which includes Save the Children. I had the honor of attending Save the Children’s Annual Illumination Gala in NYC benefiting the work they do to support education and health for young children in the United States and abroad. Save the Children has raised millions of dollars to protect children from preventable diseases like malaria, educate young children in the U.S. and abroad, provide emergency relief services during times of crisis and more!

Jennifer Garner is a huge advocate for Save the Children’s U.S. Programs and served as the host for the gala that evening. Our group was lucky enough to pose for a picture with Jennifer and talk with her for a few minutes. Let me tell you that she is every bit as genuine, compassionate and real as you would expect her to be!  She’s the kind of Mamanista that you would definitely want to be friends with under different circumstances!

So what did I wear to a New York event at The Plaza Hotel rubbing elbows with actress and children’s advocate Jennifer Garner, super model Iman and country music singer, Jennifer Nettles? Well… in true Mamanista style, I found an amazing black and white Ralph Lauren Gown on Clearance at Macy’s for $99 then added a pair of Target patent leather platform pumps (shhhh! Target) and finished the ensemble off with a pair of pearl earrings and bracelet I received as a gift from my sister.
