As a busy mama sometimes washing your hair every day is just too much! Sometimes it’s because you were up half the night with a sick kid and sometimes it’s just because that beachy wave look is just easier to pull off with 2-Day hair! Plus I’m pretty sure we’ve read that it’s healthier for your hair to not wash it every day. At least that’s the story we’re going with!
Whatever the reason, we’ve asked our multitasking, hair expert, salon-owning, mommy of two, Beaute, Veronica to share her reviews of her favorite dry shampoos in varying price points. We’ve also include a few favs of our own! You can find more hair inspiration on her Salon Facebook page and if you’re local to Atlanta, we highly recommend checking out her salon, Mirror Mirror Beaute Bar!
Big Sexy Volumizing Dry Shampoo
Available in Drug Stores or Online at Amazon – $18.95 w/ Prime Shipping
This is for the mama looking for texture (plumping, creating volume) along with soaking up the natural oils.
What I Love: It makes my poof in front of my ponytail so easy.
What I Don’t Love: It doesn’t leave my hair very touchable.
Moroccan Oil Dry Shampoo
Available in your favorite Salon or Online at Amazon (Light Tones -OR- Dark Tones) – $26.00 w/ Free Shipping
As with all things by this company the smell is amazing!! Plus Moroccan Oil is thought to have restorative properties to help damaged hair. This is a soft more natural feeling dry shampoo that rids your hair of oils, leaves your hair touchable and even comes in blonde and brown tones to help mask itself in your hair!!
What I Love: It smells amazing and comes in blonde and brown tones.
What I Don’t Love: It takes a decent amount to be effective because it is a soft subtle drying agent.
Suave Professionals Refresh & Revive Dry Shampoo
Available in store or online at Target – $5.49
This is a great, affordable drug store find!! While it is similar in effectiveness to big salon name brands it is way cheaper. This one rates right up there as a favorite for me for price and function.
What I Love: The quality for the price!
What I Don’t Love: It can be irritating to the scalp after too much usage.
Pureology Dry Shampoo & Conditioner
Available in your favorite Salon or Online at Amazon (Dry Shampoo and Dry Conditioner) – $15.00 – $19.00
Pureology’s innovative ways have led them to creating not only a dry shampoo but a dry conditioner as well! This helps to leave your hair feeling soft and touchable! This price point tends to be a little higher it is extremely good quality, doesn’t dry out your scalp and smells great!
What I Love: Cutting edge technology to offer not only a dry shampoo but a dry conditioner as well. Talk about ultimate Mamanista time-saver!
What I Don’t Love: The higher price tag.
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Available online at Amazon – $9.38
Batiste comes in a variety of fun scents if you need to mix things up! The original is my favorite year round but I also love the tropical for summer or the wild for fall with its earthy scent. This dry shampoo gives your hair lift without coating your scalp too much or leaving white residue. Plus its under $10 and Prime eligible.
What I Love: Under $10 and comes in a variety of scents to keep things fresh. The two-day Prime shipping is a major bonus too!
What I Don’t Love: Because this brand is a blogger favorite, single cans go in and out of stock often, leaving only trial sizes or 6-packs available for purchase
.
Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo
Available through High End Department Stores or online at Amazon – $48.00
Oribe describes their dry shampoo as providing instant clean and extending your blowout and preventing damage. Oribe absorbs product buildup, oil and impurities with translucent powders while soothing scalp and restoring strength and softness. Oribe Gold Lust also includes fragrance-retention technology means our signature scent stays with you all day.
What I Love: Out of all the dry shampoos I’ve tried this one truly holds your style beyond even day two hair. It feels every bit as luxurious as the price tag suggests. It’s pricey but worth the money if you can spare it.
What I Don’t Love: The $48 price tag. I got my first can in a FabFitFun box and may have used it more sparingly had I known the true price of it!
