There’s nothing better then coming home from a long, hard day at work, opening your mailbox and seeing the signature Ipsy Glam Bag magenta mailer tucked in there. I love makeup because it always fits and Ipsy usually doesn’t disappoint. Let’s take a peak into the March Ipsy Glam Bag, shall we? This month’s theme was all around one of my favorite things: rose gold!
The March Ipsy Glam Bag
Every month, Ipsy curates a different bag with five different beauty samples and a matching make-up bag. In all honesty, the make up bag is usually something that gets passed to my daughters for them to stuff with their random toys and treasures. (Seriously, these girls are hoarders who will one day be on Intervention). But mama is keeping this rose gold beauty for herself! I love that the bag is larger then the ones they usually send, and the color has a slightly metallic sheen to it that makes it perfect for spring. In the bag was this super adorable “you are beautiful” card, which I’m hanging up in my office because who doesn’t want to hear that?! Plus, the font and design are super cute
Full Reveal of the March Ipsy Glam Bag
Now on to what’s actually in the bag! Inside this rose gold goodness was the following:
- Infusium Repair + Renew Smoothing Serum with Argan Oil + Keratin
- tarte cosmetics tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint in delish
- Skone Cosmetics Luxe Pro Blending Brush
- mPrincess Pressed Eyeshadow in Chestnut
- Chella Eyebrow Highlighter Pencil in Ivory Lace
Infusium Repair + Renew Smoothing Serum with Argan Oil + Keratin
What It Is: Hair serum that repairs existing damage and prevent future damage with argan oil that hydrates and smooths but doesn’t feel heavy
What I Thought: I have A LOT of hair and I expose it to a lot of heat with flat irons, curling irons and hair dryers, which tends to make it feel dry and give me a zillion split ends. I put this lightweight formula on my hair when it was wet and then blew it dry. Forty minutes later (seriously, I have a ton of hair!) my hair felt smooth as silk. And the best part? This amazing product is $6.99 at Target! $6.99!!! At Target!!!! Now excuse me while I run out to buy the whole line….
tarte cosmetics tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint in delish
What It Is: A lipstick
What I Thought: I generally love tarte cosmetics, but this was not the product for me. The color was way too neutral for my liking and the matte formula made my lips feel too dried out. I immediately put some gloss on over it and debated giving it to one of the other Mamanistas.
Skone Cosmetics Luxe Pro Blending Brush
What It Is: Eyeshadow brush with beautiful rose gold accents
What I Thought: I thought I could never have enough make up brushes, but Ipsy has sent me one every month for the past three months. There’s nothing wrong with this brush, it’s just that I know officially have enough make up brushes.
mPrincess Pressed Eyeshadow in Chestnut
What It Is: copper/bronze mineral eyeshadow
What I Thought: This was a lovely color that went on easy and blended smoothly. Plus the slide out packaging is super cool.
Chella Eyebrow Highlighter Pencil in Ivory Lace
What It Is: eyebrow highlighter
What I Thought: Don’t let the name fool you – this is much more than an eyebrow highlighter. The creamy formula goes on smoothly and blends easily so you can highlight your brows, conceal hairs you didn’t have time to pluck or brighten your eyes to look like you got a full night’s sleep (ha, what’s that?!) At $18, it’s not too steep of a price tag for the wide variety of uses it has. Plus, its one of the few highligthers that highlights without using glitter!
The Final Verdict on the March Ipsy Glam Bag
This month’s bag was a total home run for me, from the actual make up bag itself to the products in it. Hands down, my favorite item is the Infusium Repair + Renew Smoothing Serum, which I will be buying the entire line of this weekend!
