Our round-up of what these Mamanistas are loving this month! Trust us, you’re going to want to see, read, buy and wear all the things!
1. What We’re Reading:
Present Over Perfect. Admittedly I’ve just started reading this book but it came highlight recommended on multiple Facebook groups I follow. Perfectionism is something I have and continue to struggle with and I’d imagine a lot of other women out there do too. The focus is on accepting what might be out of our control and learning to enjoy the day to day a bit more. With the added stress of holiday travel and busyness ahead, this seems like the perfect time to start reading a book titled, Present Over Perfect!
2. What We’re Wearing:
Leopard Everything. We wholeheartedly believe that leopard print is considered a neutral in all aspects. It mixes with black, navy, stripes, plaids and even this season’s hottest color, “wine” (also know as cranberry, burgundy and a whole host of other names depending on the season). We’re currently coveting this fashion forward, Fuzzy Leopard Coat for fall and winter! It compares to similar designer versions at fancy department stores, retailing at over $200! We love our $32 find just as much, thank you! Check out all the leopard loves here at ShopTMM.com.
3. What We’re Listening To:
Yacht Rock. In Atlanta, Thanksgiving means three things – lots of turkey, time with family and friends, and Yacht Rock Revue’s Turkey Eve concert to kick things off. If you’re local, we highly recommend you throw back to an era of leisure suits and polyester shirts and go! Either way, make your November a little smoother and listen to The Modern Mamanista’s Yacht Rock playlist on Spotify. It will have all that holiday stress sailing off into the sunset soon!
4. What We’re Eating:
Cranberry Sauce Chicken. October may bring all things pumpkin spice but November brings all things cranberry for our family. I first discovered this Cranberry Chicken recipe years ago at my first elementary school teaching job and it’s been a family favorite ever since. It’s great for a “complaint-free” dinner with the kids, paired with a classic side of mashed potatoes and green beans. For an easy holiday party appetizer, cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and serve it with toothpicks! If you happen to have leftovers (sadly, we never do), serve a piece of cranberry chicken on a dinner roll or leftover bun for lunch the next day.
5. What We’re Fri-YAY About:
Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas. We know, we know… it’s only the beginning of November! But… Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas has begun and we just can’t help ourselves! With 22 all new movie premiere’s this season, you know where to find me on Saturday and Sundays!
