Let's Spend Some Money, life, Mom Life, Style

Our weekly round-up of Mamanista musts: the things you’re going to want to see, read, buy and more.

1. Must-Read

Girl, Wash Your Face. When a book pops up in your newsfeed over and over and makes #1 on the New York Times Bestseller list, a girl takes notice. I read so many “self-help” books following my divorce that I’ve intentionally avoided them. Let me be the firs to tell you that this book is different! Rachel Hollis is just like you and me and this book is filled with funny and inspiring stories as she calls out 20 lies we tell ourselves that hold us back.

2. Must-Buy

If you’re like us, you’re always on the hunt for the perfect weekend tee. The one that looks flattering on but feels like your husband’s favorite vintage tee that’s been washed a thousand times. Enter this Universal Thread pocket tee from Target. Side note, you also really need this amazing lace bralette for under $20 from American Eagle.

3. Must-Watch

With 3 kids between the ages of 12 and 15 and a recently blended household, we’re always on the hunt for ways to build in a little family bonding time. After finishing out theย Netflix Original series, Lost in Space, we were on the hunt for another family show to capture everyone’s attention! It’s not easy to find something that both girls and boys find interesting and that’s not so “You Tube” that it doesn’t drive the adults in the family crazy! Enterย Once Upon A Time, a 6-season series that follows favorite fairy-tale characters come to life after their happy endings were taken away by the Evil Queen. I know we’re late to the game on this one and we’re only a few episodes in but so far it’s a definite winner!

4. Must-Cheers!

It’s no secret that Reese Witherspoon has southern charm to spare! Combine that with Crate & Barrel’s affordable, trendy housewares and you have a match made in heaven! I’m loving this Cheers Y’all stemless acrylic wine glass from the Draper James collection at C&B!

5. Must-Give

My husband and I recently celebrated the 3-year anniversary of our first date! I decided to give him a custom subway sign from etsy.com with all the places and streets in our neighborhood to capture all the great memories we’ve shared there over the last few years. You can pick from different cities or create your own custom canvas for your loved one. This makes a great gift for weddings, birthdays, and anniversaries!
