5 Easy Fall Trends

Featured, Let's Spend Some Money, Style

In some ways 2020 seems like it’s lasted forever and in other ways, it’s hard to believe it’s already fall. With the current state of the pandemic, people are spending more time at home for work, home or just hanging out. This new norm makes it hard to know what to expect for fall fashion in 2020.

I’ve scoured fashion trend reports and fall must-have lists from various fashion experts to put together 5 easy fall trends for 2020. These trends work whether you’re working from home, balancing virtual school with your own work, or if you’re just hoping fall comes and goes quietly and doesn’t bring any other craziness with it.

Leather Separates

This fall, leather continues to show up on runways and in your favorite stores for the upcoming season. With more and more people working from home or working reduced office schedules and getting creative with outdoor and socially-distanced social events, this trend leans toward leather trench coats, blazers, trousers, and long skirts that can be layered this fall and carry into winter.

Slouchy Blazers

With people still working from home but craving an upgrade this year’s baggy sweatshirt trend, the slouchy blazer is gaining popularity. The oversized blazer provides the comfort and movability of a cozy sweatshirt but adds polish and professionalism to your Zoom meetings. Pair your slouchy blazer with your favorite denim at home or for casual workdays at the office. If you’re feeling edgy, this trend also pairs easily with this season’s black joggers.

Wide Leg Pants

Cropped Wide Leg Pants is a trend popping up for fall. Denim styles can be paired easily with tees and sweatshirts for working from home. Purchase in a darker color like black and pair with this season’s ankle boots, mules or fashion sneakers for a fun update to your work wardrobe with your everyday blazers or work tops.

Sherpa Layers

With more time at home, sweatshirts and comfortable tops are still trending for fall. Sherpa pullovers and zip up jackets are a cozy way to update the trend for cooler weather this fall. We’re loving the updates to the classic sherpa quilted pullovers and moto and bomber jacket versions of sherpa this season.

Comfortable Joggers

Joggers are everywhere this season. Black, wine, gray and camo seem to be leading the trend. Joggers for me have always been tricky to balance the length and get that slouchy look without fitting tight in places in loose in others. I love the Core10 joggers from Amazon but have also heard lots of good reviews on the Goodthreads joggers and of course the Vuori blogger fave!
