Oh Sunday! Somehow each week I have big plans to be WAY more organized than I was the week before. I pledge to lay out outfits for the whole family for the week, pack lunches the night before, and spend Sunday afternoon prepping all these make ahead freezer meals I see on Pinterest. Well, it’s Sunday and I’m thinking it’s too late to buy, chop and prep all those dinners for the week so I’m going to turn to my favorite subject, fashion, instead! That’s one “to do” I don’t mind tackling on a Sunday!
To help us all feel a bit more fashionable and inspired for the work week ahead and cross off something on our Sunday To Do list, we’ve pulled together a few of our favorite work wear looks to inspire you for the week ahead.
Brighten Your Work Week with a Colorful Cardigan
With spring weather often being a bit unpredictable and many office air conditioning working full tilt, a bright cardigan is always a good idea for the office. This wardrobe staple can brighten up a basic black dress, works great on cool nights for weekends, and pairs equally as well with a pattern dress like Theavy’s great Striped fit and flare dress.
Pattern Mixing and Our Favorite Shoes
Pattern mixing can be a bit intimidating but there’s really only one rule, pick a common unifying color and start mixing. Here Sarah used black as the foundation for mixing stripes, floral and of course, her favorite Dolce Vita Leopard Heeled Sandals!
Margaret M Pants to the Rescue
You know how much we love Margaret M’s Slimming Pants already! They seriously look amazing on everyone and they feel like leggings but look like work pants! Aimee rocks the all black look with these new speckled print Margaret M pants! We’re loving this look head to toe!
Baby Bumps: The It Accessory for Spring!
There’s something about a baby bump that makes us smile! This haute mama looks amazing in this knit striped dress paired with a bright colored leather jacket and strappy wedges! Somehow Emily balances comfort, fashion and a growing baby bump all in a day’s work!
Mix It Up!
Stripes and Florals are both in this spring so why not play around reversing the pattern mixing from Sarah’s look earlier?! Aimee pairs a striped blouse with a favorite floral cardigan of ours from Amazon! We love the look paired with her open toed booties!
