Kristy here! I tend to be a “dress girl” because not only do I like feeling a little fancy, but a single article of clothing is easier for me than pairing separates. I’m short waisted, so when I do choose separates I prefer layering to add definition, which clearly poses a challenge during the warm summer months. When you can’t layer, fit becomes all the more important, which is why my best advice is to know what brands fit your body well. When it comes to cute tops and jeans, Madewell is most definitely that brand for me! Today I’m sharing my “5 Favorite Tops” from their current collection, along with my “go to” jeans (also Madewell) and comfy shoe options to make your “work from home,” aka weekly Zoom wardrobe, a cinch!
Now, what do you pair with these cute tops you ask? I’m glad you asked! You simply can’t go wrong with well-fitting jeans that are either classic or on trend, and having a mix of both is best! I also like to have a combo of dark wash, light wash, white, and black in my wardrobe as staples. Yes, jean shopping can be overwhelming, but again, knowing the brands that fit you best not only saves you time, but tons of aggravation. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Madewell jeans are my absolute favorite jeans in the world! I personally love their 10″ high waisted options that have a bit of stretch. I’ve linked two of my favorite pairs below, and both will pair well with any of the tops above. I truly hope you love these jeans as much as I do!
Now for every woman’s favorite part… the shoes! While filming Labor of Love, my wardrobe stylist introduced me to white sneakers. I personally have never been a sneaker girl, and I promptly told her this! Lol. But much to my surprise, white sneakers have become my very favorite shoes to wear and definitely a new wardrobe staple for me. Lesson learned: always be open to trying new things! These days, I like to have both a clean white pair and a fun pair with color or pattern accents in my closet, because mixing things up can be a lot of fun! I’ve linked a great option for both styles below along with my other tried and true shoe pairing, heeled slide on mules. Happy “Zooming” everyone!
